Lorenzo Melegari
Lorenzo Melegari, born in Parma (Italy) in 1974 is an independent filmmaker and producer.
His first feature-length documentary, Dentro il Collettivo (Into the Movement) (2020), which tells from the inside the story of a young political collective, was selected at 11 international festivals, winning the Audience Award at the Torino Underground Cinefest and the Best Italian Documentary Award at Ragff Venezia.

During the 1960s and 1970s, Parma, together with Trieste, became one of the first Italian cities to challenge the barriers of a closed and exclusionary society, working to restore dignity and freedom to people who had no say over their own lives.
